| Its April. You would think that things would be lovely. Spring is here, birds are out in force, flowers are blooming, trees are sprouting to life with their different shades of green. Hard to notice it all when everything always turns to shit in April. At least in the circle of people I run in. Every April, for at least the last six years, shitty things happen to almost all of my friends. Sometimes its just an emotional bad place, other times actual events take place. This year: -One best friend of mine lost a bunch of checks that were given to her for her birthday. Now she has no money at all. -Another of my best friends, that I've known for 13 years, got in to a car accident yesterday. Her car is totalled and the EMT's had to extract her from it because she couldn't move enough to get out. She eventually walked away, but fuck me, that's bad. -Me.. As I wrote, my car got broken into yesterday. I lost a bunch of stuff that will take me a long time to replace. Some of it can't be replaced. What else will happen? I don't know. Its the 'April Curse' in full force and I can't wait for May. Things usually get better. |
